Atlassian Development and Services

We master Jira, Confluence and Crowd installation, plugin development, integration and training. Although our services are available for any customers, we specialize in helping the higher education sector to adopt Atlassian software. Common customer cases include intranet / extranet implementations with federated login using our Shibboleth / SAML2 plugin for Atlassian Crowd.

Confluence

Our experts help you to get the most out of Confluence and, when you need a something more, our experienced plugin developers will be ready to deliver.

Example plugin: Eduix Metadata Plugin for Confluence

With the help of the Metadata plugin it is possible to add metadata to Confluence content and use it to filter content. Confluence administrators are able to create metadata schemas with predifined values. Space administrators can then define what metadata is collected for the pages within a certain space.

The metadata can be used in various ways. For example, the content-by-meta macro can be used to filter information targeted to roles or points of interests of a user.

Crowd

Most of our larger Confluence and Jira customers, such as universities, require integration to their existing identity management and single sign on systems. In these cases we always recommend using Crowd and doing the integration there instead of making changes to Confluence / Jira authentication and authorization. This usually involves creating custom directory implementations and Single Sign On plugins for Crowd. By doing this it is much more simple to upgrade Jira or Confluence in the future: you only need to worry about the compatibility of Confluence/Jira and Crowd versions.

Example plugin: Crowd Shibboleth Plugin

We recently implemented Shibboleth integration for Crowd which enables you to connect your (Shibboleth / SAML2) identity federations to Crowd. This means that that anybody in the federation is able to login and - depending on the permissions you set up in Crowd - access the applications protected by Crowd SSO.

Jira

Eduix has done Jira plugin development and integration to other systems since 2006. We are also experts in helping customers to get Jira to work for non software developement related use cases.

Example plugin: The NORDUnet Trouble Ticket System (TTS)

TTS is a collection of Jira plugins which add extra functionality to Jira important for a Network Operations Centre. More information and documentation of TTS is available at the NORDUnet wiki:
